Coordination Workshop

The Coordination Workshop brings together members of Shelter Coordination Team to share country experiences and practices, learn about shelter coordination tools, and exchange thoughts on methodologies and approaches in shelter and settlements responses.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting provides a venue in which shelter and settlements practitioners reflect on how to strengthen system-wide preparedness and adequate technical and coordination capacity to respond to increasingly complex humanitarian emergencies.

About Global Shelter Cluster

Vision 2028

The Global Shelter Cluster envisions a world where all people affected by humanitarian crises have timely access to safe, dignified, and appropriate shelter and settlement solutions, in accordance with the humanitarian principles and the right to adequate housing.

Strategic Objective

To achieve this vision, the Global Shelter Cluster partners will lead effective, efficient and accountable humanitarian shelter and settlement action to achieve extended impact and optimal reach.

Strategic Priorities

In order to attain the Strategic Objective, the GSC will focus on 7 strategic priorities, housed within two pillars: (1) Extended Impact with focus on (i)promoting integrated approaches during preparedness and responses, (ii)improving environmental impact, (iii)enabling safe, secure, accessible and protective living conditions, and (iv)planning and advocating for recovery and durable shelter solutions from the start. And (2) Optimal Reach with focus on (i)advocate that appropriate and timely shelter and settlement responses are prioritized and resourced, (ii)improved targeting of most vulnerable people in need of shelter, and (iii) achieve greater scale of coverage to support people in need of shelter
